Deafblind Information

 

Deafblindness is a condition where an individual is both hearing and vision impaired – also referred to as ‘dual sensory loss’.
 

People with deafblindness can have varying degrees of combined hearing and vision impairment. For example, a person may be:

Ø       Hard of hearing and partially sighted

Ø       Hard of hearing and totally blind

Ø       Profoundly deaf and partially sighted

Ø       Have complete loss of both senses
