Deafblind Information
- Deafblindness is a condition where an individual is both hearing and vision impaired – also referred to as ‘dual sensory loss’
- People with deafblindness can have varying degrees of combined hearing and vision impairment. For example, a person may be:
- Hard of hearing and partially sighted
- Hard of hearing and totally blind
- Profoundly deaf and partially sighted
- Have complete loss of both senses
