Deafblind camp 2017

3 March 2017

Nearly 140 people with deafblindness, supporters and volunteers from across Australia headed into the wilds of eastern Victoria last weekend for the 17th Annual Deafblind Camp.

Held at the Forest Edge CYC camp in Neerim, the camp was a great way for participants and supporters alike to relax, catch up with old, meet new friends and experience a range of activities they wouldn’t normally have the support to do.

This year’s activities included a flying fox, trampolines, disc golf, swimming in river, trips to Yarragon Tourist Town, plaster making, bush walking, rock climbing and of course, the ever popular Saturday night disco. This year’s camp theme was ‘Disney characters’ and there were plenty of creative costumes on show throughout the weekend.

Our thanks to everyone who assisted in making the 2017 camp such a great success – in particular Coles Supermarkets, Coke, Gorman Foundation, The Marian & E.H. Flack Trust and the following charitable funds of the Lord Mayor's Charitable Fund:
