Kaye Collard, Able CEO to step down
26 October 2017
After being involved with Able Australia as a donor, Board member, Secretary, Treasurer, Chairperson and finally CEO for the past 37 years, Kaye Collard will be stepping down as Able Australia’s CEO at the end of October 2017. “This was not an easy decision to make,” says Kaye, “however I believe now is the right time to step aside and allow some new ideas to flourish.
Looking back over my four years in the role, I am very proud of the work we have done as an organisation to ensure that we and the people we support are well prepared for the NDIS. I certainly feel like I am leaving the organisation in good shape. We have experienced some significant growth, the quality of the services being provided to our clients is first class and we have a structure in place that ensures clients feel safe, dignified and importantly, connected to the community.”
The Board has appointed Kate MacRae as Kaye’s successor. Kate joins Able Australia from Monash Health, where she is currently Chief Allied Health Officer & General Manager Clinical Services. Kate will commence the role at the end of November 2017.
