The Sky's the Limit
Melbourne turned on a perfect summer’s day on 3 December for the annual RVAC/VMVC/Able Day in the Sky event at Moorabbin Airport.
This is one of the most popular recreational program activities on the Deafblind Services calendar and this year’s event was no exception, with more than 70 participants with deaf blindness, their supporters and volunteers attending the day.
Thanks to the generosity of the members of the Royal Victorian Aero Club, many of the participants were able to experience the sensation of flight as they soared over Port Phillip Bay in a light aircraft. Those preferring to stay grounded were treated to a joy ride or two in a vintage military car thanks to the volunteers from the Victorian Military Vehicles Corp.
