Generous loan makes Braille lessons reality
Ablelink would like to say a big thank you to the Tasmanian Braille Writes Associated, who have loaned four Braille typewriters.

It is hoped that adults with deafblindness can learn Braille on these typewriters, then apply these skills to newer technology, like iPhones and iPads so they can read and write SMS messages in Braille.

Ablelink has received a grant from TAC (Transport Accident Commission) to provide Peer to Peer Training for deafblind Australians. The Braille training is part of our peer to peer program where adults who are deafblind are teaching others how to read and write Braille.
