Able Deafblind Services provides specialised support to people who are deafblind to enable improved access to the greater community, through the provision of:

Communication

  • Interpreters and support personnel
  • Training and support in using alternative methods of communication
  • Specialised communication equipment.
     

Alternative information services

  • Braille, subtitles on television, talking books, interpreter, etc.
     

Aids and equipment

  • Training and access to lifestyle assisting equipment and technology.
     

Day-to-day necessities

  • Support with banking, shopping, appointments, reading mail, bills, etc
