Why does Able Australia still need donations when there is an NDIS?

The NDIS is a great initiative that puts people with a disability in direct control over how and where their disability support funding is used.

Unfortunately though, not everyone will be eligible for the NDIS (such as people over the age of 65) or in some cases, the type of support a person needs to live life the way they choose may not be covered by the NDIS at all.

Generous donations from the community allow us to provide specialised services and programs that support people with multiple disabilities (including deafblindness) to achieve their life goals, no matter what their personal funding arrangement might be.
