"I found out about Able Australia through the Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre. It appeared to be a very good place to undertake hours for my field placement. I was particularly interested in the music therapy and the sensory experience.
"Dealing with people who have an intellectual disability and other behavioural problems can be very demanding and requires a lot of patience. Volunteering at Able Australia has given me the first experience at assisting these people. In this regard, my placement was very helpful in preparing me for the work force.
